Kinesis was formed by Eldercare specifically to provide motion-based social alarm services. The core of both operations services is a 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year emergency response centre. Eldercare was formed in 1987 and provides social alarm and monitoring services to private individuals, Housing Associations and Local Authorities, and its Social Alarm Control Centre was the first in the UK to hold three appropriate British Standards simultaneously.

Kinesis combines the use of this well-developed response centre facility with new location and mapping technologies, to provide its emergency response services to customers on the move. The alarm centre staff are able to map the geographic location of a Kinesis customer and handle their emergency call in the same professional, competent manner for which Eldercare’s response centre is renowned.
