Kinesis services are primarily designed to serve as protection for lone workers who operate ‘in the field’ and private individuals. The Kinesis system uses Benefon mobile phones that are not only robust and well featured, but also contain a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver. This means the mobile phone knows its geographic location by using signals from orbiting satellites to determine its latitude and longitude.

These phones also have an SOS feature which, in the event of an emergency, can open a voice call to our Kinesis response centre and simultaneously send a message to our systems with the caller’s location. This geographic location is then immediately displayed to our response centre staff on street level mapping.

In response to a panic call, our operators can determine the appropriate action for the situation from the voice call dialogue with the phone user, and where applicable despatch the correct emergency services to the relevant location. The level and type of response can be tailored to exactly meet client requirements prior to the use of the service. All saving valuable time in a potentially critical situation.

This system is ideal for any company or organisation which has staff working away from the office environment. Many organisations already equip their workers with mobile phones for simple communication, so the ability to also provide a high level of lone worker protection in a single device, can be a huge advantage.

The service can also be used by private individuals who wish to be safe in the knowledge that, should they need it, there is somebody there to help. The Benefon Esc! is the perfect phone for those who follow outdoor pursuits and, registered to the Kinesis response service, it could prove an invaluable safety device if the unthinkable should ever happen.
