Our centre staff, with many years of collective expertise, are fully trained and experienced in dealing with emergency situations, be it to merely provide reassurance, or by contacting the relevant emergency service to respond to the problem.

The response centre operates 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year and utilises the latest in alarm centre equipment. This links our telephony and computer systems, enabling us to answer calls effectively and efficiently. Our location system allow our operators to display a Kinesis emergency caller’s position on street level mapping and communicate seamlessly with the Benefon handset in the field.

By being the first Social Alarm Control Centre in the UK to hold three applicable British Standards (BS5979 Cat1, BS EN 50134 Part7 and ISO9002), Kinesis demonstrates its commitment to high standards of delivery and performance. All our response staff undergo a BS-approved training programme, involving a 3-month probationary period and final assessment. This ensures that all our staff are both competent and confident when given the full “Operator” status.

As standard, the control centre is also equipped with a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) system and a generator, to allow continued service in the event of power failure. In the event of a major incident that disables the main response centre, Kinesis has a complete back-up centre, located close to the main operation. This can be quickly activated to provide continuity of call handling and service.
